This film served as an experiment in both scriptwriting and cinematography. It was filmed without any form of supervision in a Cold War-era bomb shelter that just happened to be across the street from my apartment at the time.

It struck me as peculiar that a woman was dedicating so much time to helping students in a town where they are usually met with disgruntled looks and comments. When I inquired into who she was, everyone asked would simply say, "Oh, that's the bread lady she's a bit crazy, but she delivers free bread every Thursday". It was like she had always been there, fulfilling a mission that no one had asked for with endless motivation.
This mini-documentary is my attempt to immortalise her kindness, however strange it may appear to be.
Yuriy was a fellow student determined to aid the war effort in his homeland of Ukraine. He became affiliated with the Citizen Foundation, a charity that assists servicemen with amputations through prosthetics and physical and psychological rehabilitation.
This video was part of a fundraising campaign started by Yuriy in which he participated in the 2023 Amsterdam marathon.
